Where will STEM Shark Tank be held? 

STEM Shark Tank will be held in the community space at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 815 East Grace Street, Richmond, VA 23219. Participants may enter and exit through the red door located on 9th Street between E. Franklin Street and E. Grace Street. 

What time does STEM Shark Tank start and end?

STEM Shark Tank is held from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm daily, beginning Monday, July 17 and ending on Friday, July 21. Participants should arrive between 8:45 am and 9:00 am, and afternoon pick up will begin at 3:05 pm. All participants must be picked up by 3:15 pm. Aftercare is not provided.


​​​What's the pick-up/drop-off process?

Please follow the below instructions to drop off and pick up participants from camp by vehicle:

  1. From 8th Street, enter the alley behind St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. The alley is located after crossing E. Grace Street and the church parking garage. 

  2. A volunteer or administrator will be standing at the end of the alley near 9th Street to assist with a safe drop-off and pick-up process.

  3. Once you've completed  drop off or pick up, turn left onto 9th Street.


IMPORTANT: Please do not park in the church parking garage. Please do not drop off on 9th Street. Also, please do not park along 9th Street to avoid congestion and for a safer drop-off/pick-up process. 

Who can pick up the participant?

Persons listed by you on your registration form will be authorized to pick up the participant. Please email us at if you need to add names or amend the names listed on your registration. All participants will need to be signed out with a photo ID of the party picking them up.

IMPORTANT: Any adults listed on the registration form will be listed as authorized for pick up (and will need to present a photo ID). 

Can I walk the participant inside?

Absolutely! But you must find your own parking in any of the authorized lots adjacent to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Our STEM-Ed Partners staff and volunteers will be outside to greet you daily at the red door located on 9th Street. Please do not enter St. Paul's Episcopal Church through any other door if you are participating in STEM Shark Tank.

What clothes and shoes should the participant wear?

Loose, lightweight, light-colored clothing is recommended. A light sweater will suffice indoors, if needed. Although the majority of STEM Shark Tank will take place indoors, we will occasionally venture outdoors for some “wiggle time.” Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

What is your cell phone policy?
A “Cell Phone Resting Zone” will be provided to reduce distraction and allow participants to fully focus on programming. Phones can be checked briefly during scheduled breaks.

What health and safety items will STEM Shark Tank provide?

  • Chilled, bottled water 

  • COVID-safe masks

  • Hand sanitizer

  • Healthy, nut-free snacks

  • A full, catered lunch

  • First aid kit

What COVID-19 safety practices do you follow?

STEM-Ed Partners follows all state and Richmond City guidelines for COVID safety.
